This five day, GPS based, self-guided adventure includes scenic & historical destinations along the route. Using paved and unpaved roads you’ll have a total of 1000 miles of fun on this route! This is a true adventure ride. You will be camping off your bike, so this usually includes making breakfast and dinner at camp and lunch along the ride. Each night’s camp site is a national forest campground with restrooms. But keep in mind to be 100% self sufficient along this route. THIS IS AN ADVENTURE BIKE RIDE. 1000 miles in 5 days may be a lot to ask of your body. Please understand your abilities for a ride like this. Day 1,3 and 4 have a decent amount of dirt, we suggest a full dirt tire for this route. Day 2 and 5 are slower paced, easy going but mostly pavement riding.
If you are going in summer, be prepared for a mixture of hot and cold weather. Along the coast there is a chance of rainstorms and in the high elevation there is a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. This route is not advisable during the winter.
